They say everything is bigger in Texas...

Well, we were driving up from San Angelo to Lubbock in West Texas, through some pretty vacant looking ranchland. We then saw a sign for a dog breeder that took my breath away. "Great Pyrennes and Chihuahuas for sale."

My first thought was, "How could you possibly raise two totally different looking dogs like that?" My next thought was "And what if.....?" So for our good friends Jan and Bob, here's some food for thought.

This is our last night in Texas, so we splurged for a night out in Lubbock at a great steakhouse near Texas Tech (the Red Raiders). The ribeye and filet mignon were delicious, and the local microbrew (Raider Red) very refreshing. The restaurant was filled with real longhorns and Texas Tech memorabilia, including pictures of the Masked Rider, their official mascot, seen here riding into a football game.
